The Theme: A Wildflower Wedding, adorned with Eucalyptus

From the start, Jess & Moray had a clear vision: a wedding that felt organic, romantic, and deeply personal. They wanted lots of eucalyptus to adorn their wildflower wedding. The day was styled around wildflowers and eucalyptus, bringing freshness and movement to every space.

The Edit by Taste created bespoke stationery printed on seeded wildflower paper, meaning every guest could take home a piece of the day to plant and grow in their own garden, a lasting, living memory of the celebration.

Wildflower wedding canapés with a Personal Touch

For the reception, we served canapés in beautiful monogrammed boxes — a detail that elevated the experience and added a personalised twist. Guests enjoyed a selection of small bites that were as elegant as they were flavourful:

• Rare sirloin beef & Yorkshire pudding, horseradish
• Beetroot, goats cheese & pine nut crispbreads
• Parmesan & sun-blushed tomato arancini with basil aioli
• Smoked haddock fishcakes with tartar sauce
• Gin & beetroot cured salmon with horseradish panna cotta
• Seared steak with potato rosti & chimichurri

The combination of classic favourites with a Taste twist set the perfect tone for the feast to follow.

The Wedding Meal

For their wedding breakfast, Jess & Moray opted for a plated menu, refined yet hearty, designed to delight every guest.

Starters included:

• Smoked cheddar & leek tart with a crispy poached egg
• Sticky pork belly wedges with rocket & roquito pepper salad
• Lightly battered tempura prawns with lemon aioli & rocket

Mains featured:

• Confit duck leg with olive oil mash, braised red cabbage & red currant jus
• Oven roasted cod fillet with fish velouté, roasted fennel & saffron potatoes
• Chicken, bacon & leek pie with spring onion mash, seasonal vegetables & red wine jus

And of course, for dessert, a simple but perfect moment – their wedding cake was served as the plated finale, a sweet ending to a menu that told their story beautifully.

“Terrific Taste

Taste did an incredible job providing the food for our wedding day. The team played a huge role in making the day magical and memorable and run seamlessly.

Steve and Charlotte are utter professionals & are both so talented, so much so it’s easy to see why they have won so many awards! Doing our menu tasting was one of the highlights of our wedding journey, and got us very excited.

Communication was fantastic from the offset, so we felt very assured going into the wedding, but my gosh did they deliver on the day. Canapés were truly showstopping and the dinner was absolutely incredible. We were so impressed they replicated the quality for over 100 people, especially with multiple choices per course.

Service was impeccable throughout and loved all their creative touches. We had many comments from friends and family saying hands down it was the best food and service at a wedding, which is testament to team Taste’s delivery and dedication. Needless to say, my husband and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend Taste. It will probably be one of the best decisions you will make!
